IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL TECHNOLOGY USERS:In 2007, Daylight Saving Time is changing for the U.S. and Canada. As part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Daylight Saving Time (DST) has been extended by four weeks. DST dates will start three weeks earlier on the second Sunday in March (11th) and will end one week later on the first Sunday in November (4th).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE NEW MICROSOFT OPERATING SYSTEM:
The Microsoft Corporation has announced the release of their new operating system named Windows Vista. It is not expected for Vista to be available on District purchased computers until the new fiscal year to assure that all District applications work with Vista. Also, there are anti-spyware software vendors that provide low cost or donation based spyware removal tools. These are helpful in detecting spyware and other malicious software that might become installed on your system due to these vulnerabilities.
Microsoft Security Patch may cause Outlook 2003/Exchange connectivity issues. Hotfix 908519, described in this bulletin: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS06-002.mspx may cause slowness and connectivity issues in OL2003 when connecting to an Exchange server. ITD is researching this issue with Microsoft. Contact the Help Desk if you believe you might be experiencing a problem with Outlook related to this issue.
