- Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, select Network & Dial-Up Networking.
- Double Click Make New Connection - The Network Connection Wizard Appears. Click On Next
- Select Dial-Up to the Internet - The Internet Connection Wizard Appears.
- Select I want to setup my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN). Click On Next.
- Select I connect through a phone line and a modem.
Internet Connection Wizard Step 1 of 3 Appears.
- Enter the LAUSDnet phone number for your area.
- Check Use area code and dialing rules.
- Click on Advanced
- In Connection Type Select PPP (Point to Point Protocol),
- In Logon Procedure Select None.
- Click on Addresses Tab. In IP Address select Internet service provider automatically provides one.
- In DNS Server Address select Always use the following:
- Primary DNS Server: 192.215.166.34
- Alternate DNS Server: 192.215.166.9
- Click OK. You are returned to Step 1 of the Internet Connection Wizard. Click Next.
- Step 2 of the Internet Connection Wizard appears. Enter Username and Password provided by the LAUSDnet.

- Step 3 of the Internet Connection Wizard appears
Type LAUSDnet for the Connection Name. Click on Next.
- Internet Connection Wizard will ask if you would like to setup your mail account - Select NO.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Finish.
